Special Session Scope and Description

Natural language processing (NLP) is a field of computer science, artificial intelligence, and computational linguistics concerned with the interactions between computers and human (natural) languages and, in particular, concerned with programming computers to fruitfully process large natural language corpora. The main aim of this special session is to bring together the researchers, academicians, scientists, and students applying multidisciplinary concepts for the design of effective and advanced solutions to cope with the recent areas of Natural language processing. The following is a list of some of the most commonly researched tasks in NLP. Note that some of these tasks have direct real-world applications, while others more commonly serve as subtasks that are used to aid in solving larger tasks.

Topics of Interest

We invite original (un-published) research contributions based on the above mentioned theme including following topics but not limited to:

  • Automatic speech synthesis
  • Automatic speech segmentation
  • Automatic speech recognition
  • Automatic summarization
  • Discourse analysis
  • Word-sense disambiguation
  • Topic segmentation and recognition
  • Sentiment analysis
  • Relationship extraction
  • Recognizing Textual entailment
  • Question answering
  • Optical character recognition (OCR)
  • Natural language understanding
